In the 2nd half of the 19th century, a number of representative tenements were erected along Mickiewicza St leading from the train station towards Market Square. One of the most interesting is the neo-Renaissance building No 6a completed in 1883, where the Fernbach’s publishing house and printing house were located. The titles published here included, for example, the local daily “Bunzlauer Stadtblatt”. Inside, stained glass windows with interesting idealising representations have been preserved in the staircase. Also noteworthy is the neighbouring corner building No 6 with a representative rusticated façade.
