Martyna Woźnica-Chrostek

Bolesławiec artistic community – Martyna Woźnica-Chrostek

Martyna Woźnica-Chrostek was born in Bolesławiec. She took her first steps in art under the guidance of Czesław Matyjewicz and Magdalena Konieczna. She continued her artistic education at the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, majoring in sculpture in the atelier of Professor Grażyna Jaskierska-Albrzykowska. Currently lives and works in Düsseldorf.

In her work, she focuses mainly on interpersonal relations and what results from them, and their influence on the perception and shaping of space. She tries to use a variety of materials and modes of action. She creates installations and sculptural objects, designs elements of small architecture, and organises happenings and performances.
