Bolesławiec artistic community – Jagoda Siegień

Jagoda Siegień was born in Bolesławiec. She is a graduate of the Faculty of Sculpture at the E. Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław (diploma in the atelier of Professor Christos Mandzios) and the Faculty of Puppetry at the L. Solski State Academy of Theatre in Kraków (diploma performance entitled “Skin” directed by Konrad Dworakowski and an individual diploma: “The Skin” directed by Konrad Dworakowski and an individual diploma: a performance for children entitled “Unlucky Man”). In 2015-2018 she collaborated with the Wrocław Youth Theatre, where she co-created performances for children. For several years, she has been leading theatre and art workshops for children of different ages. In 2016, as part of the Erasmus+ programme, she completed an internship at Teatro de Marionetas do Porto in Portugal. She had the opportunity to work with Agata Duda-Gracz, Piotr Ratajczak and Tomasz Mann, among others. She has participated in many international plein-airs, workshops and festivals. Her beloved subject is dogs.

Currently, she is mainly involved in acting, but uses her sculpting skills to create theatrical forms. In 2018, she prepared an original monodrama dedicated to the young Aleksandra Piłsudska – “The Rocket Woman. The thing about Ola Szczerbińska”‘. Currently, she is fascinated by macramé and creates most willingly in this technique.

This post from the series “Bolesławiec artistic community” was prepared within the framework of the project “Bolesławiec – 30 years of local government” carried out by the Museum of Ceramics and the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre – International Ceramics Centre.
